Cloud 9 Beauty Salon-Prevention and Control

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Our priority is to keep you and our staff as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of.

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again.

Stay at Home - If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. If you have to cancel for this reason, we will not impose our cancellation charge. However, you will not be able to rebook until you are 48 hours clear of symptoms or for 14 days if a member of your household has symptoms.

We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to COVID-related illness.

Appointment only - we will be working on an appointment only basis - no walk ins will be accepted.

Appointments will be limited to keep to social distancing rules so please let us know as per our usual cancellation policy (min of 48 hours before) if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid late cancellation charges.

VISITING THE SALON

Arrive on time - for your safety and to maintain social distancing as much as possible, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.

Entering the building – A sanitising gel will be available to use. When using the lift to go up into the salon on the first floor, only one family group permitted in the lift at one time.

Please come alone to your appointment - there is currently no waiting area as we are only permitting limited numbers of people in the salon at any one time. This includes babies and children 12 and under.

Personal belongings - please bring minimal belongings with you. All belongings will be placed in individual clear plastic boxes as you enter the salon and will be placed next to the work station during your treatment. Phones will need to be kept out of reach as hands need to be kept sanitised and free from the face or other items.

Sanitise your hands - we have a hand sanitiser available for you to use as soon as you come into the salon. You may be ask to wash your hands also. Once you have sanitised your hands, please avoid touching your face (after applying a face mask if provided with one).

Face masks - once you have sanitised your hands we will provide you with a fresh disposable face mask for you to wear during your treatment. You may wear your own but please ensure it is new or freshly laundered if it's a reusable mask.

Our staff will be using extra personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This will be a visor, face mask and disposable gloves.

We already have high standards of cleanliness in the salon but we have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, door handles etc. are disinfected between each client.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety as usual.

Wherever possible, we will utilise environmentally-friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

We can confirm that the laundering of any salon towels and workwear is a priority and we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

OUR TREATMENTS

We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and unfortunately there will be limited services provided until further notice.

DURING YOUR TREATMENT

Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

We will try to make your treatments as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

In order to avoid the handling of cash, we would prefer if you could use card as your payment method. We will be accepting contactless payment. You may be asked to confirm your appointment with your card from our secure PCI compliant payment facility via our Fresha online booking system and once your treatment is completed, your card will be charged upon your authorisation.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our staff. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you so much for your understanding.
